QuikClot Nosebleed Review & Giveaway

QuikClot NosebleedOne of the best things about my blog is that I have been introduced to some great products that I wouldn't have known about otherwise. A few weeks ago I received an email introducing me to QuikClot Nosebleed, which is to help stop nosebleeds, and asking if I would like to receive a sample. I jumped on this because Taylor has suffered from nosebleeds since he was a toddler.

If you have a child that suffers from nosebleeds you know how scary they can be sometimes. It just seems like they will never stop. We have tried all sorts of old wives tales and solutions for getting them to stop quickly over the years, but to no avail. Obviously, the best thing is to prevent them from happening to start with, and while we have managed to curb the number of them, they do still happen. I told Taylor about these when they arrived and we went over how to use them. Being a teenager he generally just deals with them on his own now so I wanted him to be prepared with the QuikClot Nosebleed even if I wasn't around. The other morning he got a nosebleed when he woke up and he opened up the QuikClot Nosebleed and rolled up the gauze and inserted it per the directions. He sat there for a few minutes and finally took it out and the bleeding had stopped and there was actually very little on the gauze even. His words "Holy cow! These things really work Mom!" Now I was thrilled, but wondered if maybe it had been a light bleed to start with. Another nosebleed this morning and the same results with QuikClot Nosebleed! Happy Dance - they really do seem to be a working solution for Taylor's nosebleeds! Why has no one told me about these before?

One of the things I like about QuikClot Nosebleed is the size also. Inside the box there are 5 individually wrapped gauze. Each is about 2" x 2 1/4". Being so small it will be easy for Taylor to keep at least one in his wallet so if he has QuikClot Nosebleed gauzea nosebleed while he is out he is prepared. I will be tossing some in my purse as well just to be safe.

The winter months are always when Taylor suffers the most nosebleeds. The dry air from low humidity both outside and inside from the furnaces running just are brutal. He does use a saline solution spray which helps a great deal, but there are still nosebleeds this time of year. Usually it looks like a battle scene when he is done with all of the bloody tissues around him (ugh teenagers are so messy), so this helps keep down on the mess even for us. If your child (or you) suffers with the same I highly recommend trying out QuikClot Nosebleed!

My seventeen year old son has gushers. Mostly it hits when his allergies are bad, or it's dry inside.

My 15 yo son has always had nosebleeds. He's involved in a lot of sports so this would be great for him to throw into his bag to have just in case he needs one.

My oldest son would receive this item.

My son (4 years old) gets horrible nose bleeds. They started around 9 months of age. We have taken him to the Doctor and the ENT for them. With no real reason as to why they happen so often and why they last so long. This would be a wonderful kit for us to have at home (or out and about) for him.

I would love to win this, and I am also going to buy some. My daughter gets nosebleeds frequently, for no reason at all (it seems, I guess there must be some reason).
