Staycations with Energizer & Giveaway!

Energizer Ultimate Lithium BatteriesMany of us are skipping a bigger vacation this summer and opting for staying at home for a staycation this year. Just because you are at home doesn't mean you should skip being a shutterbug like you would on any other vacation.

How about making a trip to the zoo your own mini-safari and you and the kids all take pictures of the wild animals - dress the part even and everyone wear your khakis!

Be tourists in your own city and where those crazy tourists clothes and visit the landmarks in your area. You could even pretend to be from some other city when folks ask you where you are from. Try to see your city through the eyes of someone who has never been there before.

Even if you stay in your own backyard you can have a tropical vacation. If you are lucky enough to have a large pool it's even better, but if not get yourself a blowup kiddie pool. You can get a few bags of sand for your beach area, drink fruity drinks with little umbrellas, find some recipes for tropical food, and don't forget the big beach hats!

Whatever you do make sure to take pictures of your family having fun and of all the sties you see. Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries can help you keep your cameras up and running and lasting longer through your entire journey even. The Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries last up to 8x longer in digital cameras and weigh 1/3 less than standard alkaline batteries. Plus along with National Geographic they are having a photo contest until June 30. You could win a trip for 2 to the Galapagos Islands or other great prizes. Be sure to check at the bottom of the page also to link to a $2 off coupon on Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.

My staycation can be at my house, just doing what I want, eating what I want, with no concerns for anyone but me. Well, I guess my hubby can come along!

I would go to lunch at Olive Garden or Chili's every day, then go to Ross or Bed, Bath, and Beyond to shop. Then I would take an afternoon nap. I would watch a movie, every night!

My staycation is easy in St. Louis. I'd include visits to the Missouri Botanical Garden on early cool morning. I'd enjoy a visit to the St. Louis Art Museum during the hot part of the day. in the evening, I'd go to the zoo as it cooled off and the animals were stirring.

In between, I'd take in some of St. Louis' best local food joints, including the Boathouse in Forest Park.

my staycation would be staying at home and sleeping...or sitting on my comfy bed and listening to my ipod while flipping through a mag! I miss sleep as I'm sure many other people do too! :)

My staycation would be to stay home, rest, relax, and read. I don't get that very often, so that would be something I would really enjoy. Thank you for the entry.

My Staycation would involve sending the kids off to Grandma's, and staying home with my husband, cooking, eating, sleeping, hanging out.

My Staycation would be at my mom's house. I would just visit with her and let the kids play. We don't get to visit much so it would be wonderful!

My favorite staycation though? A nice, BREEZY (i get hot really easily) day outside with my family...some punch (with the ice cream in it), nice music playing, and reading a really good books. I'm easily pleased.

We are so lucky to have moved to Florida, where we have wonderful staycations! Our best days are when we just drive 10 minutes away & play on the beach all day! For more exciting weekend-long staycations, we can go to Busch Gardens, Sea World, Disney, Universal and still drive home for the night!

We are having a wonderful staycation with grandkids coming and going. The favorite activities of the older boys had been kayaking and disc golf. The four year old has loved cooking with grandma, sand art and using grandma's computer. The girls are coming this weekend....a shopping trip is a "Must" on the agenda.
