Calling Cat Lovers: Purry Logic Review & Giveaway
I know there are plenty of you cat lovers out there that stop by my blog because you always comment when I post about my 2 wonderful cats, Peaches & Lottie. I've got just the thing for you!
When Family Review Network asked if I would like to participate in this tour I jumped right on it since it was to review the Purry Logic (click here to order) book. The book arrived the other day and it is so cute! I just adore the drawings and quotes on each page. My husband and my son are both cat lovers also and they both loved the book as well. If you have cats living with you then
you will totally get this book. If you aren't a cat person yourself but no someone who is, get them this book.
This book is filled with an adorable full color drawing of a cat on each page with a wonderful and witty cat humor (like the above). Another of my favorites, "Never feed my anything that doesn't match the carpet". The drawings are amazingly detailed and the author even includes a Who's Who at the back of the book about all the cat models.
This truly would be a wonderful gift for anyone who loves cats this holiday season. Both women and men and any age at all would enjoy Purry Logic. You could give the book alone, or maybe include a toy or two for the recipients cats even. Maybe throw in a lint roller (you know how cat fur is).
Would you like to win your own copy of Purry Logic? Just leave a comment and tell me about your cat (or cats). Be sure your email is in your profile or that you leave it in your comment.
You have until 11:59 pm on December 3 to get your entries in. This giveaway is only open to residents of the USA. Good luck!
I will pick a winner who will have 48 hours to reply to the winning message. If no reply, I will move onto another winner.

My cat is named Smokes. I got him from the Detroit Humane Society when he was little. He loves to take baths and is very relaxed! Thanks for the giveaway, it looks like a cute book!
I have many cats, like a teacher has children...
I cat-sit for friends when needed, at no cost...when there is an emergency, a vacation, a hospital stay, a necessary trip, a delay in schedule to get home, etc...
I love cats, they are purr-fect!

My cats, Shovel and Pigwidgeon, swarmed me this morning! Shovel's name is a long story. Pigwidgeon is a little black cat that we found around Halloween 5 or so years ago. She was TINY and covered in fleas and hid behind the radiator CRYING all night. We didn't know she was covered in fleas until the next day at the vet's office! She hid in the closet after that...I would lie next to the door and wait patiently for her to come out. She's still a little shy and those first weeks as a feral cat are still in there.
Shovel wasn't happy about Widgie coming into the house, but they are friendly with each other now.
My cats belong to my kids and are just like them. One is bossy and sweet. The other is mischievous and cute.
I found you on twitter - Diana
We have 2 cats. One inside and one outside. Our inside cat is still pretty new. He's about 4 months old and is a little terror! He's a lot of fun though. His name is Sam. Our outside cat is my baby. He's big and fluffy and so sweet. His name is Fatty. My daughter is definitely a cat lover and loves looking at pics in books. This would be great for her! Thanks for the great contest!
I'm also a subscriber, thanks!
I have just signed up for Twitter so I'm new to it. But I follow you as coriwestphal. Thank you!
We have four cats. Our latest cat is a stray kitten that I had to get out of one of our black walnut trees. Gracie decided he was a gift from God and named him Angel. So....We became the proud owners of cat #4.

It looks like a fun book!
Hi! My cats are Molly (14 yr old longhair calico, former stray) and Chouli (15 yr old short hair tortie, sweet 16 in January! former shelter cat). They love to play with catnip mice & hog my bed -- Chouli is giving me the eye as I type that ;)
They are the inspiration behind me being a member of EFA (Etsy for Animals). I am currently donating proceeds of my sales from my kittyanydots.etsy.com shop to Alley Cat Allies -- hope to raise $10 by end of November!
I also follow you on twitter, retweeted your giveaway, and stumbled this!
My kitty passed on, but she was an adorable torti manx that drove my husband and son crazy! She was always mean to them, and I would pretend I didn't know anything about it! Good times!
lacy.reyes@yahoo.com
My cats are Doc and Iggy. They're brothers from the same litter who were neglected for the first about five months of their life and then left with a group that was doing an adoptathon at a Pet Smart. They normally don't accept "donations" but were sure that the cats would end up dumped somewhere if they didn't take them. Doc and Iggy have come a long way since then. They're still fairly skitterish and very wary around new people, but in calm settings they're a lot of fun. They stick close together and often sleep curled up around each other and against my legs. They're currently chasing each other around the living room.
Thanks for the chance to win. It looks like a very cute book.

I'm allergic to cats but my daughter loves them. My sister has a cat named frankie and my daughter calls him boo boo
barbara_powella@yahoo.com
We have three cats. This past summer, we went to an adoption event with the intention of picking up a new kitten and the agency was running a two-for-one sale, so we came home with two kittens!
It was a good idea as they play together and leave the old, grumpy cat alone.
My kitty Smokey is in kitty heaven, but what a sweet kitty she was! We have talked about getting a new cat, but I am not sure if another will ever measure up.
beccaj73[at]hickorytech[dot]net
Sadly, we cannot have cats because I'm allergic. I had them growing up though, when the allergies weren't what they are now, and I'm a cat person at heart! My son adores cats, so I like to let him watch shows about them and read books. We'd love this one!
themommyspot(at)gmail(dot)com
I have two outside cats. They are not actually mine but they hang out here. I feed them daily and play outside with them. When we go to leave in the mornings, we raise the garage door and they are usually out there meowing for food. Their names are Pretty Girl and Skully(Greyskull).
I'm also a subscriber.
Too cute - my sister would love this book. My cats name is Junior - and he's around 9 years old, we rescued him from a Garden Center where there were two kittens left of a litter dropped off for adoption. We took his sister home as well, but she passed away some time ago. He's ultra-lazy, but VERY good cuddler!
My sister has three cats right now, one of whom used to be mine, but she used to follow my sister home all the time, so eventually we just let her move in with her!

My cat has OCD.
He wants in, he wants out,
he wants in, he wants out,
he wants in, he wants out,
he wants in, he wants out.....
I could type this forever because that is what he does unless I get lucky and he falls asleep.
i have 4 brat cats!
my manx drags things around, watches, shirts, hats .and puts her dads gloves in her food dish. she is ODD. and growls out the window at the UPS.
and the other 3 are boring LOL
I have two cats. One is fat and the other is skinny!

I think I must have a sign in my yard saying that if you have a cat you don't want drop it here. I currently have six, Eb and his sister Daisy, Little Buddy, Samoo, and CiCi. The most recent addition doesn't have a name yet. Oddly enough 3 out of the 6 cats are black and white!
My cat, Lola, was a pound kitty. She's very personable, and loves to lie wrapped around my head when I watch tv. (Making for a rather "fuzzy" picture!) Of course, if I dare to pick up a pen to do any work at night, she will rush over to sit on my hands so I can't work, and then gives me a knowing look. (Spoiled? Think so?)
i have just one, c.c.
love my cats ! have 6 of them ! thnx for the giveaway !
Any time a drawer is opened, you need to check the drawer beneath it before you leave the room. Cookie sneaks into the top drawer -- I believe she uses her shield of invisibility -- and skootches behind the open drawer into the drawer below.
My cat's name is Phoenix. She was a stray that we picked up about three months ago. I'm glad we got her. She brings us great joy.

I have beautiful Siamese cat named Samson.
my cat is a great pet i love her dearly
I have a Himalayan named Smokey. We rrescued him from the shrimp docks when he was just a tiny kitten.
My cat loves to play so much that he will pull his own string to pounce it!
We adopted two young cats this past summer to keep our old girl from getting too lonely. She didn't seem to appreciate the gesture at first but now I have caught her curled up with them a few times. I am sure she is just doing it because they have long hair and they keep her warm in the winter LOL. Cat logic, an inscrutable thing
My cat is spoiled rotten, she follows me around like a puppy and has me wrapped around her paw.I love her to pieces, she is my little buddy.

My cats name is buggs. I got him when I had to put my dog down. Buggs mother had died and he fit in the palm of my hand. Had to feed him at first.
pag@bresnan.net
geroge my cat is from the shelter. He hates men. I think that he was abused in his former home. He is so loving to me though.
My family has four cats! 2 were from the local shelter, one was from a neighbor and the other was from someone who was moving and couldn't take her with her. We love them all!
Luvey is our 16 lb. cat who thinks he's just a little kitten. He loves to climb into boxes no matter how small the box is. I have a picture of him trying to get inside a child's shoe box. He got 2 paws in and then just sat on the rest of the box. He's too funny.

My cats are nuts. Right now they are both asleep, but when they wake-up, mayhem will ensue.

I have two cats -- Bear & Ginny -- and they are sweeties!
Our kitty, Muffin, is a sweet girl. She follows me around the house (she thinks she is a dog) sits in my lap and flips in the air trying to catch her toy. She has the sweetest little chirp of a voice--I have only heard her meow once--at the vet and I about fell off my chair because I had never heard her meow before.
She is our "baby" and she knows it.

Our cat runs for cover whenever she hears the doorbell ring. It always takes her a while to warm up to people.
I have two cats - Cairo and Maxwell. I live alone and they are my best and constant companions. Cairo was a stray and Maxwell was adopted from the Humane Society to keep him company. They are best buds now.
mhill66@charter.net
Biscuit has graciously allowed me to live in the same house with him, share his queen sized bed, feed him, and change his litter. Sometimes he even lets me go to the bathroom all alone. What more can I say?????

We have four indoor cats. Sabrina was adopted from Stay-A-While Cat Shelter. Kolby, Roma and Buddy were born to a stray on our backporch. We also feed all the strays in the neighborhood.
Thanks for the chance to win! This looks like a great book!
Lucky, the cat we found in the dead of winter was left behind from the people we bought the house form and we took her in. She was starving and and at the time we didn't know she was preg. But now she and her kittens are happy and healthy. Thanks for the chance to win.

We have four very pampered rescue kitties -- Sprocket the Rocket, MacKayla the Empress, Joel Gray and William the Orange.
vmlay@artsci.wustl.edu
My kitten's name is Spyder. he was a stray that got separated from his mommy when he was very little. We found him all scared and alone at 6 weeks old and we took him in. I fell in love with him (even though he pooped on me). He is now 7 months old and a wild little bundle of energy. He is very loved and I am so happy we have each other.
Pekoe is our adorable feline, named for the color of tea!

Hi Robyn,
My partner and I have been looking for a neat holiday gift for my niece. She recently got us hooked on the (cat) Warrior series. Can you believe it?
We have four cats: Gizmo, Cheeto, Isabel and Fernando. They are all rescued and they inspired us to start our own cat rescue last year (Black Cat Rescue).
I already dugg your post. I think this giveaway is a great idea. And, I look forward to following you on twitter (@smangela).
Good luck with the giveaway and enjoy your cats!
Thank you,
Samantha

My cat is named Betty. She is a little older now, but she still makes me smile. Not matter how bad of a day I am having, I know that I can come home, curl up on the couch with Betty on my lap and feel better. Cats are just so understanding (and they never disagree haha).

Both of our kitties are "rescue cats" and very much beloved. Salleefur was rescued when she was a about 10 days old when rescued and clearly came from a feral litter - so she is a recovering feral cat - but has become mostly well socialized - she just still a little "skittish." Twinky-Tuxedo Dude is a real hoot and smarter than I am! He as two brothers were found in a dumpster behind a PETSMART...!!! (apparently two female kittens didn't make it...)
I love kitties and grew up with them but right now we can't have cats :( Although I would love to have one again!

My son is obsessed with cats. We currently have two, an orange tiger-striped one named Tiger -- go figure, and a cow-colored one named Trouble. But he can never get enough of them. He squeals and dances every time he sees one, and his first word was "meow". He's almost one. He says "meow" all the time now, and we're pretty sure he's also said "cat". He's quickly following in his mommy's footsteps: http://momsensical.blogspot.com/2008/10/everybody-wants-to-be-cat.html

I have one cat now. Archie who fits his namesake. He is getting on up in years. garrettsambo@aol.com
We are owned by one cat, Lola. (At least I know my place. As if a person could "own" a cat - ha!)
My cats always rule!
I am owned by 3 little kitty-girls -- Bobbi, Ally McSqueal, and Rustie!
When I watch TV in my recliner at night, Ally is right next to me in the seat, Bobbi is on the armrest on my right, and Rustie is on the left. They all know where their spots are -- but if one of them sits in another's place -- IT'S ON!!!
They are very sweet girls and I love them very much!!
i have 2 cats big kitty and baby kitty..lol
My cat thinks she is a baby. She loves to drape herself over my shoulder while I type away on the computer. The only problem is that she is so big her waving tail obscures the keyboard and I can't type :).
I subscribe to your feed.
I love cats! I have to 2 kitties--they're very cute, but also so very bad! lol!
I have 4 cats and they fight. All the friggin time.
We presently have 5 cats that have adopted us. They wander into our yard (I suppose they are homeless) and they like the food and service -- so they stay. We never turn away a hungry stray. All are ferral, but I have tamed some. The first thing that gets done is a trip to the vet for vaccines and "getting fixed".
Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!
Oscar was a farm cat. My son got him when he was a kitten so he grew up with the Cheech the yellow lab. Oscar adores Cheech, much to Cheech's embarassment. Oscar is an indoor/outdoor cat. When he's outside he hangs out with Cheech. If I take Cheech for a walk & Oscar is outside, he insists on coming along for the walk. I've even seen him clean Cheech's face. In the meantime Cheech is growling softly, saying "Knock it off."

I am definitely a cat person. I have 2 cats inside that think they are dogs and go outside on their leashes. They even have dog tie-outs in 2 places in the yard.
Then there are neighborhood cats that I feed and love - well, someone's gotta do it.
My two inside cats are Pyscho Kitty and Kitter. You can see pics of them here, http://tinyurl.com/5q8sso

My cat loves howling to that Lion Sleeps Tonight song :)
my cat's name is brownie and she's a tortie and has a mind of her own:)Thanks for the awesome giveaway and the entry:)
My cat Max had to undergo surgery this year for an undetected birth defect that he's had for six years. I love that cat and would do anything for him!
I have the typical stray cat - (maybe not typical) - she is neurotic and lives in her own world - afraid of everything
I have an adorable calico cat named Tiger.
